We love traveling. Whether domestically or internationally. We enjoy being able to explore new/unknown places, see and eat new things. Since working our traditional 9-5, we’ve been fortunate to travel several times a year. Thanks to minimizing our lifestyle, “travel hacking,” making the most of frequent flyer miles, credit card point, and unusually low airfare to make travel more affordable.
So far we have visited 38 countries, and with each trip we took; we started bringing fewer and fewer things with us. We’ve gotten comfortable leaving that extra pair of pants or shoes at home. Since traveling on a full-time basis, we’ve gained more experience. We are now experts on what items are necessary to bring with us on our travels.
All the items below are the must-have things we travel around the world with — things that make our traveling easier, more pleasant, more efficient, or more economical.
Many of the links below are affiliate links. If you click the link and make a purchase, we will get a small commission. We’re hoping that you’ll use these links every time you need to make a purchase. These small commissions help us stay on the road longer. Which means we’ll be able to upload more vlogs. We only recommend things we use and think are valuable!
Kenny LOVEs this bag, he has been carrying this backpack since we started our journey last year, June 2019. After trying several camera bags, Kenny’s convinced that the Prvke is the best camera bag he has ever used. It looks nice, it’s so durable and spacious. You can use it as a camera backpack and an everyday backpack. Also important, the bag has held up to constant use. After a year, the backpack still looks like new.
2. Osprey Fairview 40 Women’s Travel Backpack
I originally started our travels using the Travel Laptop Backpack. It was a good bag and served its purpose for a few months. However, it didn’t have waist straps and my back was hurting me on travel days. I was hunting for the best backpack and I came across Osprey Fairview 40 Women’s Travel Backpack. This backpack is exceptional. It’s good for women with minor back troubles. Its hip belt and harness take the weight off the back, which is outstanding. If you are looking for a travel backpack, look no further. This bag is comfortable, durable, and would last you for a long time.
3. Kenneth Cole Reaction Out Of Bounds 20-Inch Carry-On

How do you even begin choosing the perfect Carry-on which is great for every adventure? I will save you the stress in finding that perfect luggage. We have tried a good deal of luggage over the years and are confident to recommend Kenneth Cole Reaction Out Of Bounds. 4. Rainleaf Microfiber Towel Perfect Travel & Sports &Beach Towel
Who doesn’t always prefer to use real towels when the option is available? During our travels, there were a few times when we should have packed our own towels. So we purchased Rainleaf Microfiber Towel. It’s fast-drying, ultra-compact, lightweight, easy to carry, and space-saving; making them the perfect towel for our carry-on travel style.
5. Lewis N. Clark Men’s On Air Adjustable and Inflatable Neck Pillow
Who flies without a neck pillow? Really!!! LOL When we started traveling years ago, we knew we needed a neck pillow in order for us to have a better flight. However, who wants to lug around with a pillow. But we did for a while, and we found it was just an inconvenience. So we stopped traveling with a neck pillow for years. Last year I did some research and came across this fabulous inflatable neck pillow. This neck pillow has a unique On Air valve that makes it one of the easiest pillows to adjust. Below are some of its great features.
✅ INFLATE IN SECONDS
✅ SLEEP ANYWHERE
✅ BUILT-IN POCKET
✅ NO NECK STRAIN
6. Travel Adapter Charger, AMORNO Worldwide International Universal
You are perhaps asking yourself what is so special about this adapter. Well, nothing really, except that we have used it for three years, and had absolutely no issues with it. I am sure there are other good adapters However, we’ve tested this adapter around the world and have yet to fail us.
7. Aleader Women’s and Men’s Quick Drying Aqua Water Shoes
Picking the right shoe was important to us since we travel with only a carry-on. As you know shoes take up a lot of space in your luggage. Kenny and I both travel with Aleader Quick Drying Aqua Water shoes because we can wear them for water adventures, hiking and everyday wear. They look great to wear with shorts, casual clothes and more. They are also lightweight, comfortable, and not bulky, which means they don’t take up an abundance of space inside of your bag.
We traveled a while without a dry bag, and I have to say it was a headache. The constant worry wether our electronics and/or clothes would get wet. Therefore, we purchased Aqua Quest Dry Bag. Kenny is the one that carries this bag on days we are exploring, which is often. He’s satisfied with the bag and only wishes to have purchased it sooner. The bag is comfortable and great to use as a day bag!
